Description:

This component is designed to increase the penetration rate of technologies that have demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions among companies in the road freight and service vehicle transportation sector.

Funding takes the form of grants and the amount varies depending on the technologies acquired.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be companies;
2. be individuals;
3. be organizations;
4. be municipalities;
5. hold registration in the Register of Owners and Operators of Heavy Vehicles (RPEVL) of the Commission des transports du Québec (CTQ) with a satisfactory safety rating.
6. be respecting owners, operators, and drivers of heavy vehicles (PECVL);
7. be owners or operators of the vehicle(s) in question at the time of application;

8. If the applicant is not registered in the RPEVL, they must provide their Quebec Enterprise Number (NEQ).

Application Steps:

To apply for financial assistance, the applicant must ensure that they complete the following steps depending on the component concerned:
1. meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the guide corresponding to the chosen component (see the “Documentation” section below) and, if necessary, in the List of technologies eligible for funding – Document in PDF format;
2. complete the financial assistance application form related to the component concerned (see the “Documentation” section below);
3. provide all information required by the Minister;
4. submit the financial assistance request by email to cocamionnage@transports.gouv.qc.ca or by mail to:

Other Things to Note:

The program has been in effect since December 14, 2021 and ends on March 31, 2025. However, it is retroactive to April 1, 2021 for the “Acquisition of technology” and “Acquisition of used heavy vehicles” components.
