This program is designed to train, educate, and empower early-stage startups and aspiring entrepreneurs that are looking to transform their idea into a viable startup concept.
There is a general Lean Startup program and some specific ones (Neuro Innovation Lean Startup, and Health Sciences Lean Startup).

Eligibility:

Applicants must be teams with:

  • at least one McGill affiliated co-founder e.g., student, faculty, staff or alumni (graduated within the last 10 years);
  • one technical co-founder, and can build your business upon a technology, science, or idea that is significantly or radically disruptive;
  • multi-disciplinary professionals (including learners or graduates) working towards validating your concept, creating a business plan, and launching your start-up;
  • commitment to attend all the workshops and executing the project work (required to maintain your participation in the program).

Program Format:
Dates: October 10th – November 28th, 2023
Time: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Hybrid program: sessions will be virtual and in-person at the Dobson Centre to accommodate our global network of speakers and mentors.
Older:
Throughout the 8-week program, applicants will attend weekly workshops, conduct self-directed work and acquire tangible tools to:
1. test the viability of their concept;
2. build their business plan;
3. develop their minimum viable product (MVP);
4. discover their market;
5. create their value proposition;
6. develop their fundraising strategy;
7. establish realizable goals for their startup.
