Description:

This program allows travel agencies, tour operators and incoming agencies to offer the Quebec population attractive, reduced-price packages, without air transportation.

Comments on Funding:

The financial assistance granted to the agency takes the form of a grant and will be used entirely to sell the proposed package at a reduced rate. The agency cannot charge management fees from the allocated envelope.

For each package sold, a discount is granted to the consumer on the sale price, before taxes. The aid rate is 25%.

Any air transportation used by the consumer is excluded from financing.

The reduction in the cost of the package is reserved for residents of Quebec.

Eligibility:

The following are eligible:

travel agencies;
tour operators;
receptive agencies holding a standard permit from the Office of Consumer Protection.
Eligible agencies may join together to submit a joint application.

Agencies that have at least two years of experience in the region where they wish to offer a package or that have been working with the regional tourism association of the targeted region for two years or more will be favored.

Suppliers must comply with the following conditions:

hold the Quality-Safety certificate from Aventure Écotourisme Québec or be in the process of obtaining it if they offer nature or adventure activities;
be open and offer the tourist services or services sold in the package.
