Description:

Financial assistance is available to businesses, municipalities and organizations wishing to install charging stations in the workplace.

Amount for the purchase of terminals and their installation
The financial assistance granted for the purchase and installation of charging stations at work is equal to the lesser of the following amounts :

50 % of eligible expenses;
$ 5,000 per wireless charging station ;
$ 5,000 per connector.
There is no limit to the number of workplace terminals you can install.

You can group several terminals subject to common installation work in a single request for financial assistance.

However, the maximum amount of financial assistance granted per eligible building and per financial year is set at $ 49,000 .

Temporary suspension of the program on February 1 , 2025 The Roulez vert program will be temporarily suspended from February 1 to March 31, 2025.

Eligibility:

Financial assistance for charging stations at work is available to businesses, municipalities and organizations established in Quebec.

Specialized companies offering turnkey charging services are also eligible.

Application Steps:

To apply for financial assistance for a charging station at work under the Roulez vert program, applicants must attach various supporting documents.

Documentation Needed:

Supporting documents for eligible expenses
You must attach all invoices corresponding to the eligible expenses of your project :

The invoice and proof of payment for eligible charging stations purchased and installed.
The long-term rental contract for the rented charging stations as well as invoices and proof of payment of the first installments already made.
The invoice and proof of payment for the installation work of the terminals and the electricity supply infrastructure (materials and labor).
The invoice and proof of payment for the consulting services for the design and planning of the project.
The invoice and proof of payment for a device or software for managing the energy consumed.
The invoice and proof of payment for the permits required for the installation work.
Date of eligible expenses
To be eligible, the acquisition and installation work of the terminals must be carried out while the program is in effect.

The Roulez vert program will be temporarily suspended from February 1 to March 31, 2025. Expenses incurred during this period will not be eligible for financial assistance.

Proof of payment
You must provide copies of your invoices and corresponding proof of payment.

The accepted proofs of payment are as follows :

copy of check endorsed by the banking institution;
bank statement;
credit card statement;
electronic filing notice.
Photos of the installed terminals
You must attach photos of the installed charging stations. The photos must allow you to see :

all terminals for which financial assistance is requested;
complete terminal labels;
your establishment;
the location reserved for electric vehicles and indicated for this purpose.
Also attach photos of the new electrical infrastructure, if applicable (transformer, distribution panel, etc.).

Proof of terminal rental
To receive the flat rate for renting a terminal, you must provide a copy of your rental agreement.

You must attach proof of payment (for example : copy of check endorsed by the banking institution, bank transaction statement) when submitting your request.

The rental lease for the charging stations must have started after April 18, 2019.

Information required on invoices
Certain information must appear on the invoices sent.

Invoice for purchase or rental of charging stations
Your charging station purchase invoice or rental contract must contain the following information :

the name of your organization and the address of your establishment;
the date of the transaction;
the name or business name of the supplier and their contact details;
the detailed description of the items being transacted;
the amount of each item being transacted and the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees);
in the case of a rental contract, the monthly payments and the total amount paid at the end of the rental.
If you made your purchase online, this information may be spread across several documents: remember to attach all the required documents to your refund request.

Invoice for terminal installation work
The invoice for installation work carried out by an electrician must contain the following information :

the name of your organization;
the address of the building where the work was carried out;
the date of installation;
the name of the electrical contractor;
the contractor’s RBQ license number;
the detailed cost of the installation work (including the cost of each item subject to the transaction) as well as the total amount of the transaction (including taxes and other applicable fees).
