Description:

This component of the Technoclimat program provides financial assistance to support innovation in energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction. It is intended for Quebec industries subject to the GHG emission allowance cap-and-trade system (SPEDE)This hyperlink will open in a new window. and their partners.

Comments on Funding:

The financial assistance granted can reach up to 50 % of eligible expenses, for a maximum amount of $10 million per project. The total cost of the project must be greater than $10 million.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, you must be a legal person or a partnership with an establishment in Quebec.

If the company subject to SPEDE is not a participant in the program, it must be a partner in the project. In this case, an agreement between the company participating in the Technoclimat program and the company subject to SPEDE will be required for the signing of the Technoclimat agreement with the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks.

Application Steps:

Step 1 – Complete an Expression of Interest
Before submitting an application for financial assistance, check whether your project is sufficiently advanced to be admissible.

To do this, you can:

see the When to Submit a Project page;
discuss your project with a Technoclimat manager;
complete and submit the declaration of interest (DOCX 635 KB) .
After analyzing your expression of interest, the Technoclimat team will inform you whether or not you can submit an official request for financial assistance to the program.

Step 2 – Submit a financial aid application
To submit an application for financial assistance, you must provide:

the financial assistance application form (PDF 3.08 MB) . Have the form signed and dated by an authorized person. The authorized signatory must be registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec as a director or officer who is not a member of the board of directors. Otherwise, you will need to provide a power of attorney;
the project plan and test plan (PDF 3.24 MB) ;
the declaration of internal partner expenses (PDF 2.42 MB) , if applicable;
the curriculum vitae of the people and organizations participating in the various activities of the project;
the participant’s financial statements for the last two years, if applicable;
any other relevant document to support the application (proof of financing, feasibility study, business plan, etc.).

3. Project plan and test plan (PDF 3.24 MB)
4. Declaration of internal partner expenses (PDF 2.42 MB), if applicable
5. Curriculum vitae of the people and organizations participating in the project
6. Participant’s financial statements for the last two years, if applicable
7. Any other relevant supporting documents (e.g., proof of financing, feasibility study, business plan)

Other Things to Note:

The project must be completed within a maximum period of 60 months following the effective date of the agreement.
