Description:
The Financière Agricole du Québec’s Financial Support Program for Aspiring Farmers helps young producers establish themselves on an existing farm or start a new business. The program provides grants for young farmers to establish full-time or part-time establishments, pursue agricultural training, as well as funding for land improvement and equipment purchases. The Part-time grant offers financial support between $10,000 and $25,000. The Full-time grant offers financial support between $20,000 and $50,000.

Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must be aspiring farmers that meet the following criteria:
1. Are domiciled in Québec;
2. Are at least 18 years of age but not yet 40;
3. Have some recognized training;
4. Hold at least 20% of the operation’s shares;
5. Count at least one year’s relevant experience in agriculture;
6. Have a potentially profitable start-up or establishment project.

2. contact an advisor at their service centre to make an appointment.

Applicants must provide:
1. their business plan;
2. their diplomas or most recent transcripts;
3. their proof of age.
