Description:

Development of sustainable access to fishing activities;
Construction or renovation of fishing facilities;
Purchase of equipment related to fishing facilities.

Comments on Funding:

Financial assistance can represent up to 75 % of the total value of eligible expenses in the case of a non-profit organization or an Indigenous nation and up to 50 % of the total value of eligible expenses in the case of a for-profit organization or a municipality.

Deadline:

The call for projects is closed for the year 2024.

Eligibility:

The following organizations are eligible for the program:

municipalities;
indigenous nations;
non-profit organizations;
cooperatives;
private companies.
In all cases, the organization must reside and carry out its activities in Quebec, and seek to promote the offer of activities and the development of customers wishing to practice fishing activities. In addition, the organization must be registered in the Quebec business register.

Application Steps:

Before filling out the form, make sure you meet the program requirements . To submit a project, you must send us the following documents to the address pecheaccessible@mffp.gouv.qc.ca :

the financial aid application form (PDF 293 KB) ;
the financial assembly (XLSX 69 KB) .
If applicable, you must also attach the following documents to your request:

tenders for materials;
submissions from qualified professionals, when they are external to the organization;
a resolution designating the person who will act on behalf of the organization;
all elements necessary for the evaluation of the project (maps, plans, technical studies, photos, sketches, etc.);
an access plan guaranteeing, to the satisfaction of the Minister, access to bodies of water, infrastructure and equipment;
the document certifying ownership of the land, a long lease or another real right in favor of the organization;
authorization or proof that the necessary authorizations have been requested.
