Description:

This component aims to increase the use of French at work, in signage as well as in customer reception and the services offered to them.

Comments on Funding:

The amount of financial assistance is established according to:

the financial availability of the program;
the recommendations made following the evaluation of the submitted project;
the organization’s contribution, which must be at least 25% of the total cost of the project. This contribution may include goods and services provided by the organization (and not those provided by a third party organization), the costs of which may be estimated at market value.
Financial assistance granted:

is limited to $125,000 for component 1 and $150,000 for component 2 per year of the project;
cannot exceed 75% of the eligible expenses of the project.
The financial assistance granted under this program is one-off and the Office has no obligation to renew it.

Eligibility:

The following are eligible for the program:

non-profit organizations, associations or groups;
private for-profit companies;
post-secondary educational institutions.
Additionally, to be eligible, these organizations must:

be legally constituted and registered in the Quebec Business Register;
have been active in Quebec for at least 24 months at the time the project is submitted;
have structured mechanisms for communication, visibility and influence;
have their head office or at least one establishment in Quebec and carry out their activities there;
be compliant, where applicable, with the francization process provided for by the Charter of the French language , or have submitted their self-assessment online and benefit from support in order to obtain their Commitment to the French language .
