Fonds régions et ruralité (FRR) – Volet 1: Soutien au rayonnement des régions (Regions and Rurality Fund – Stream 1: Support for Regional Outreach)

By mmuise
Description:

This component of the Rural Areas Fund aims to support the implementation of mobilizing projects that will have an impact on the territory of each of Quebec's regions. These projects are chosen and prioritized by a regional selection committee based on the development priorities specific to each region. Any project has a regional influence if it has impacts in the territory of more than one regional county municipality (MRC) or equivalent body.

Comments on Funding:

For all categories of beneficiaries, the same eligible organization and its subsidiaries cannot receive more than $1 million per year for the same project, with a maximum of $3 million over five years.

Eligibility:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Any applicant is eligible for financial assistance, except for private companies in the financial sector and financial cooperatives.
  • Any project has a regional outreach if it has impacts within the territories of more than one regional county municipality (RCM) or equivalent entity. Local projects carried out across multiple RCMs that contribute to achieving the same regional priority are also eligible. In this case, it is the total sum of the projects, rather than each individual project, that will have a regional outreach.
  • Organizations registered in the Register of Ineligible Suppliers for Public Contracts are not eligible. The minister may reject any application from an otherwise eligible organization if it is involved in a dispute with the Government of Quebec or if it fails to fulfill obligations imposed by a law administered by the minister, a resulting regulation, or an agreement with the minister.
