Préchauffage solaire (Solar Preheating)

By mmuise
Description:

This program offers a grant to encourage the purchase and installation of a solar air preheating system for space heating. By preheating the air supply to a ventilation system, significant savings can be achieved on the consumption of natural gas needed to heat the fresh air. Highly efficient, a solar air preheating system produces free and renewable energy and helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Comments on Funding:

1. The financial assistance is $2 per cubic metre of natural gas saved.
2. The maximum amount of financial assistance is $200,000.
3. The amount of financial assistance accorded may not be more than 75% of the eligible investment costs.
4. Lastly, an adjustment factor of 0.6 will apply to the gross savings from perforated glazed collectors on a brick base to take into account the effect of the heat accumulated by the bricks in buildings where the principal activity is limited to one shift per day.
