Programme d’appui à la francophonie canadienne (PAFC) (Canadian Francophonie Support Program)

This financial assistance program is one of the tools for implementing Québec's policy on the Canadian Francophonie. More specifically, it aims to:
1. strengthen ties between Quebecers and Francophones from elsewhere in Canada;
2. increase the use of French and the visibility of Francophone cultures in Canada.
The financial assistance businesses can recieve is up to 50% of eligible expenses.

Comments on Funding:

Funding grants range from $7,000 up to $150,000 depending on the project classification.

Deadline: Continuous Intake

Eligible organizations are:

  • non-profit organizations in Quebec and other provinces and territories;
  • schools, health and social services institutions in Quebec and other provinces and territories;
  • businesses in Quebec and other provinces and territories;
  • municipalities in Quebec and other provinces and territories.
    Ineligible Organizations are as follows:
  • the individuals;
  • departments, budget-funded bodies and Crown corporations as well as corporations controlled directly or indirectly by a government (provincial or federal) or by a Crown corporation;
  • enterprises registered in the Register of enterprises ineligible for public contracts, including their subcontractors who are also registered;
  • authorized or registered political parties and bodies recognized by the electoral authorities;
  • political education organizations;
  • artist agencies;
  • organizations that have not complied with the Secretariat's grant conditions regarding accountability;
  • organizations that have not fulfilled their obligations after being put on notice in connection with previous financial assistance granted by a department or agency of the Government of Quebec;
  • organizations that do not meet the high standards of integrity that the public is entitled to expect from a recipient of financial assistance paid out of public funds;
  • organizations that do not meet their obligations under the Charter of the French language.
