This component is designed to increase the penetration rate of technologies that have demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions among companies in the road freight and service vehicle transportation sector.

Funding takes the form of grants and the amount varies depending on the technologies acquired.

Deadline: Before March 31, 2024
Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • be companies;
  • be individuals;
  • be organizations;
  • be municipalities;
  • hold registration in the Register of Owners and Operators of Heavy Vehicles (RPEVL) of the Commission des transports du Québec (CTQ) with a satisfactory safety rating.
  • be respecting owners, operators, and drivers of heavy vehicles (PECVL);
  • be owners or operators of the vehicle(s) in question at the time of application;
  • If the applicant is not registered in the RPEVL, they must provide their Quebec Enterprise Number (NEQ).

Other Things to Note:

Financial assistance is available for the acquisition and installation of the following technologies:
1. anti-idling technology;
2. electrical technology to reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle related to the operation of the equipment included in this vehicle;
3. a technology improving the aerodynamics of the vehicle;
4. a technology allowing the reduction of GHG emissions (other technologies);
5. a technology allowing the electric conversion of the vehicle;
and for the acquisition of the following technology or vehicles:
6. a vehicle or technology allowing the use of alternative fuels that emit less GHGs;
7. a new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle;
8. a fuel cell vehicle (FCV);
9. a low-speed vehicle (LSV);
10. an electrically assisted cargo bike.
