Description:
Eco-driving allows for a reduction in vehicle operating and maintenance costs, an improvement in road safety and a reduction in the environmental footprint of vehicles. Eco-driving training provides drivers of light or heavy road vehicles with the tools they need to:
understand the factors that explain the fuel consumption of a road vehicle;
acquire new knowledge to adopt the most appropriate behaviors to reduce energy consumption;
adopt more energy-efficient and safety-friendly driving

The applicant may benefit from a maximum financial assistance of $30,000 per fiscal year. $1,000 per session

Eligibility:
The applicant must:
1.be any business registered with the Quebec Business Registry, any municipality, and any public organization with an establishment in Quebec, with the exception of:
a) Ministries or budgetary organizations of the Quebec government listed in Annex 1 of the Financial Administration Act (Chapter A6.001);
b) Persons designated by the National Assembly;
c) Federal ministries or organizations;
d) Applicants in dispute with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Change, Wildlife, and Parks (MELCCFP), or who have not fulfilled their obligations towards the organization;
e) Applicants in a situation of bankruptcy or insolvency within the meaning of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act;
d) Applicants registered in the Business Registry, not eligible for public contracts (RENA).
2. be the owner or operator of a fleet of road vehicles;
3. have standardized eco-driving training.

Step 1 – Training Planning
Applicant communicates with an approved organization in order to select a training course based on their needs. Several approved organizations can be contacted to compare the service offer and prices.
Step 2 – Agreement with an approved organization
An agreement is concluded between the applicant and the approved organization for the carrying out of the activities.
Step 3 – Delivery of training
The approved organization provides the standardized training, ensuring that all participants sign the “Attendance Register” form.
Step 4 – Apply for financial assistance
To apply for financial assistance, you must send the Ministry:
the application formduly completed financial aid Excel format;
the signed financial aid application form, “General Information” tab, pdf or image format;
a copy of the invoice for standardized training provided by an approved organization.
Step 5 – Analysis of the financial aid request
The Ministry validates the conformity of the application to ensure that the training was given to a sufficient number of participants by an accredited trainer (using the attendance register provided by the approved organization) and that the organization is eligible.
Step 6 – Payment of financial aid
Following validation of the conformity of the request, the MELCCFP determines the amount of financial assistance based on the various criteria of the regulatory framework and makes the payment of the financial assistance by check.
