Healthy Food: Stream 3 – Support for Structuring Activities and Projects

Description:
This program aims to increase the number of foods of good nutritional quality, foods with improved nutritional value and foods with health value among the foods processed and offered in Québec. Its 3rd stream is designed to raise awareness and stimulate mobilization towards the development or improvement of foods of good nutritional quality, foods with improved nutritional value or foods with health value.
Comments on Funding:
The financial assistance covers 70% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $300,000 per fiscal year. The maximum financial assistance is capped at $900,000 per applicant for the duration of the program. The minimum eligible expenses amount to $40,000.

Eligibility:
Eligible customers
Companies or organizations that fall into one of the following categories are eligible:
groupings of food processing companies;
research or technology transfer establishments;
non-profit organizations specializing in food processing;
broadcasting centers;
consulting firms;
cooperatives.

For all shutters:

financial statements audited, reviewed or compiled by an external professional accountant (CPA) representing a full year of operations (12 months) or a detailed business plan for businesses with less than a full year of operations;
all official supporting documents that enable the validation of eligible expenses (e.g.: supplier submission).
For Part 3:
the CV and proof of expertise of the external consultant and the internal specialist;
the service offer of the external consultant and the pay slip of the internal specialist.
Financial assistance applications must include all required documents to be processed.
Only expenses incurred after the submission of a complete financial assistance application are eligible, subject to official acceptance of the project.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. Financial assistance application form duly completed and signed;
2. Template for additional information ;
3. Curriculum vitae and proof of expertise of the external consultant or internal specialist;
4. Service offer from the external consultant or pay slip from the internal specialist;
5. Financial statements audited, reviewed or compiled by an external professional accountant (CPA) representing a full year of operations (12 months).
Other Things to Note:
Request a review of a decision
An applicant may appeal an assessment decision within 30 days of the date of communication of the decision. To do so, the applicant must complete the Request for Review Form .
Changes or improvements to the project, the addition of information or the submission of new documents not included in the initial application will not be considered in the request for revision.
