Description:

Hydro-Québec aims to spur technological and business development by engaging in the critical steps between research and development (R&D) and commercialization. They provide financial assistance to customers seeking to test the technical or commercial viability of innovative energy-saving or power demand optimization measures.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is a financial assistance of up to 75%of your project’s
total eligible cost, up to a ceiling of $500,000.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be any individual or legal entity operating in the residential, agricultural, commercial, institutional, or industrial markets, established in Quebec for more than twelve months, submitting a project under the PROGRAM, and responsible for its implementation.

Application Steps:

1. Applicants must complete and submit a Preliminary Project Proposal form available on Hydro-Québec’s website, and send it via email to demonstration@hydro.qc.ca.
2. Hydro-Québec reviews the Preliminary Project Proposal, contacts the applicant to validate information, and may schedule a meeting for further details. The next step of the analysis is confirmed within ten business days. Applicants must then complete and submit the Support Document for Project Implementation.
3. Hydro-Québec evaluates the proposal using the criteria outlined in appendix 1 of the Participant Guide. Within 30 business days, Hydro-Québec confirms project eligibility, potential Financial Support, and assigns a Project number if applicable.
4. If approved, both parties sign a contract detailing the commitments, project description, implementation conditions, and terms for Financial Support. The contract includes annexes such as the Participant Guide and appendix 1, with a customizable draft available on Hydro-Québec’s website.

1. a completed Preliminary Project Proposal form;
2. a completed Support Document for the Implementation of a Technological and Commercial Demonstration Project;
3. additional information as requested.
