This free, online 12-week marketing program helps scientists explore entrepreneurship, learn the basics of entrepreneurship and assess the business potential of their idea before making the transition to business creation.
By the end of the program, applicants will understand the journey and mindset of the entrepreneur, they will have an in-depth knowledge of the latest practices in entrepreneurship and innovation and they will have taken the first steps to communicate and present an idea with commercial potential. Through the program, applicants will also have access to the innovation ecosystem of Quebec startups, which will allow them to connect with key players in the ecosystem and learn more about their programs.

Eligibility:

The QcSE program is designed for students and recent graduates of a master's, doctoral or postdoctoral program affiliated with universities and research institutions in Quebec.

1. In collaboration with the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ), District 3, and V1 Studio, Concordia University aims to stimulate the economy by creating deep tech ventures and jobs for highly skilled and specialized graduates and researchers. This initiative is not in opposition to fundamental research—it is a complement for bringing research from the lab to the market for global impact.
2. The program runs twice a year, with one cohort in the fall and another in the spring. When the application period is not yet open, you can join their waiting list to be the first to know when applications open. 3. The program is flexible and designed for people with busy schedules. It requires only 3 hours per week, including 1 hour dedicated to online interactive sessions and 2 hours to review content and complete small assignments.
