Parcours Rémi-Marcoux

The Parcours Rémi-Marcoux is an incubation program dedicated to students and recent graduates of HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and Université de Montréal. The program is part-time, free and lasts approximately 6 months, from December to June.

Eligibility:

“Entrepreneur” eligibility criteria:

  • at least one student co-founder from HEC, Polytechnique Montréal or Université de Montréal OR a graduate of less than 3 years;
  • preferably in a complementary entrepreneurial  team;
  • motivation to undertake and commitment to the project (part-time on the project accepted);
  • coachability and open-mindedness;
  • available to participate in the program (approximately 8 hours per week, mainly Thursday afternoons);
  • desire to build a business headquartered in Quebec.

    “Project” eligibility criteria:
  • technology developed or business opportunity identified;
  • “startup” type project: technological dimension and strong growth potential;
  • desirability and feasibility of the project are demonstrable.

Other Things to Note:

A. The base is HEC Montréal's entrepreneurship innovation hub. Their mission is to inspire and propel entrepreneurship with economic and societal impact here and around the world!
B. Applicants that will be part of a cohort of 12 to 15 companies will have:
1. access to:
a) a series of workshops given by world-class experts, entrepreneurs and professors;  b) experiential bootcamps;  
c) a new international ecosystem (Boulder, Colorado);
d) the two coworking spaces of La base (Decelles and Centre-Ville) and to the reservation of closed rooms;
e) to the expertise of HEC Montréal alumni;
f) the databases of the HEC Montréal library;  g) an experienced mentor assigned for the entire duration of the program;  h) entrepreneurs in residence at La base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal;  i) regular individual and cohort follow-up with coaches from La base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal and with a venture capital expert;
j) scholarships and funding opportunities;  k) other advantages (Cepsum subscription, meals provided on workshop days, Budgeto and Fundica licenses offered). 
2. the possibility of student mandates carried out on their business project;
3. many advantages offered by lawyer and accountant partners of La base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal.
