Other Things to Note:

The Agri-Environmental Reward is recognized by the federal government as part of the Canadian Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (CSP). It follows the Ministerial Initiative for Rewarding Agri-Environmental Practices (RPA) and aims in particular to support businesses in continuing to implement good environmental practices.

Several producers will commit to applying at least one eligible practice over the next two seasons (2025 and 2026), namely in terms of off-season soil protection , reduction in herbicide use , improved management of fertilizers , crop diversification and implementation of developments favorable to biodiversity .

The Agro-environmental Remuneration is one of the flagship measures of the Quebec government’s 2020-2030 Sustainable Agriculture Plan (PAD), which aims to accelerate the adoption of best agro-environmental practices.

Its objective is to recognize and financially encourage the adoption by agricultural producers of agri-environmental practices that go beyond regulatory requirements and generate significant environmental gains.

The 2025 registration period for the Agro-Environmental Remuneration is from March 5 to 31, 2025. Watch the news and subscribe to our Facebook page to stay informed.
