Description:
The initiative is one of the flagship measures of the Sustainable Agriculture Plan 2020-2030. It aims to recognize and financially encourage the adoption of agri-environmental practices that go beyond regulatory requirements and generate significant environmental gains.
Comments on Funding:
In total, over the duration of the company’s participation, the financial assistance could reach $50,000.
Rolling Deadline
Eligibility:
The applicant must:
1. be a registered agricultural enterprise with MAPAQ (Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Quebec);
2. own or lease agricultural lands in Quebec;
3. commit to implementing at least one agro-environmental practice among those eligible for compensation.
Application Steps:
1. Applicants must register to the program.
2. If applicable, the opening of a new registration period is announced at the beginning of the year jointly by the MAPAQ and the FADQ. Monitor the news and subscribe to its Facebook page to stay informed.

Applicants must submit the required documents as requested.
Other Things to Note:
The 2024 registration period for the Ministerial Initiative for Compensation for Agri-Environmental Practices (RPA) is now closed.
The Initiative is administered by La Financière agricole du Québec (FADQ) .
The Initiative came into effect on February 8, 2022, was amended on February 23, 2022, and February 8, 2023, and will end on March 31, 2027, or upon the exhaustion of budgetary funds, whichever occurs first.
