Description:

This program aims to:

develop a four-season, accessible and safe recreational tourism offering in Quebec’s regional parks;
ensure the development and modernization of infrastructure for tourism activities;
support the adoption of innovative and sustainable practices in order to position Quebec as a leader in sustainable and responsible tourism.

Comments on Funding:

Program assistance is calculated based on the eligible costs of the project. To be eligible for financial assistance, a project must have minimum eligible costs of $150,000. The maximum financial assistance rate is 75% of eligible costs up to a maximum of $500,000.

Eligibility:

The following are eligible:

non-profit organizations (NPOs) legally constituted in Quebec;
municipalities;

the intermunicipal authority;
cooperatives.
To be eligible, the organization must hold accreditation from the Association des parcs régionaux du Québec (PaRQ) or commit to obtaining it. An organization that does not already hold this accreditation must:

undertake the accreditation process upon receiving confirmation of the grant award;
obtain this accreditation no later than the scheduled date of the last payment of the grant.
Applicants must meet the following conditions:

Not to be or not to use the services of subcontractors registered in the Register of companies not eligible for public contracts (RENA)This hyperlink will open in a new window..
Have met all their obligations relating to the allocation of previous financial assistance from the Government of Quebec for at least two years.
Not be a Crown corporation or a corporation controlled directly or indirectly by a government (provincial or federal) or a business that is majority owned by a Crown corporation.
Not be in a situation of bankruptcy or insolvency.
Not be a for-profit company with an establishment in Quebec.

Complete the financial aid form and prepare the required documents:
a business plan and/or a project development plan;
accreditation of the Quebec Regional Parks Association This hyperlink will open in a new window.;
the registration number of the tourist establishment, if applicable, or the resolution of the board of directors committing to undertake the required steps and to obtain it;
a document from a competent authority demonstrating that the operation of the establishment does not contravene the town planning regulations relating to the adopted usesThis hyperlink will open in a new window.under the Planning and Development ActThis hyperlink will open in a new window., if applicable.

6. Document from a competent authority demonstrating that the establishment operation complies with town planning regulations under the Planning and Development Act (if applicable)
