Description:

The eligibility certificate certifies that a cooperative is eligible for the Deferred Tax Rebate so that its members can benefit from this tax measure.

Eligibility:

belong to one of the following categories:
Work cooperatives,
Shareholder worker cooperatives (CTA),
Producer cooperatives,
Agricultural producers’ cooperatives,
Solidarity cooperatives (with restrictions),
Federations of cooperatives (three sectors);
have completed at least one financial year;
exercise its general management in Quebec;
have the majority of its members domiciled in Quebec when the member is a natural person, or established in Quebec in other cases.
Eligible taxpayer
Any member of an eligible cooperative who has received an eligible rebate is eligible.

An auxiliary member cannot benefit from the Deferred Tax Rebate.

Application Steps:

Complete and sign a letter requesting a certificate of eligibility (DOCX 14.29 KB) as well as a certificate indicating that the cooperative meets the eligibility conditions (DOC 111 KB) .

Then submit the request by post or email.

Terms and conditions
The certificate is valid until revoked, if applicable.

It does not need to be renewed unless it was issued before March 20, 2012.
