Description:

The Support Program for Research and Innovation Organizations – Support for research projects in collaboration with the community (PSO, component 2b) aims to:

strengthen the technological innovation capacity of companies and recipient environments through the development and transfer of technology resulting from public research projects;
strengthen the capacity of innovative companies with high growth potential ( startups ) to commercialize their innovations;
to establish partnerships between university, college, institutional and industrial circles, whether in Quebec, outside Quebec or internationally;
highlight research results and innovations that have commercial potential.

Comments on Funding:

Research projects in collaboration with the community – SMEs
Maximum aid rate: 40% of eligible expenses.

Accumulation of government aid: 80% of eligible expenses.

Maximum amount of assistance: $500,000 per year without exceeding $1,500,000 per project.

Research projects in collaboration with the community – Large company
Maximum aid rate: 20% of eligible expenses.

Accumulation of government aid: 60% of eligible expenses.

Maximum amount of assistance: $500,000 per year without exceeding $1,500,000 per project.

Research projects in collaboration with the community – Social innovation
Maximum aid rate: 80% of eligible expenses.

Accumulation of government aid: 100% of eligible expenses.

Maximum amount of assistance: $500,000 per year without exceeding $1,500,000 per project.

Industrial Research and Innovation Consortium in Medical Technology of Quebec ( MEDTEQ)This hyperlink will open in a new window.);

Applicants must meet the following conditions:

Be registered in Quebec to do business legally and operate a business there.
Not to be registered, provisionally or definitively, in the Register of Companies Ineligible for Public Contracts (RENA) or not to use the services of subcontractors who are also registered there.
Not be registered on the list of companies that do not comply with the francization process.
Have met all their obligations relating to the allocation of previous financial assistance from the Government of Quebec or Investissement Québec for at least two years.
Not be a Crown corporation or a corporation controlled directly or indirectly by a government (provincial or federal), or a business that is majority owned by a Crown corporation.
Not be in a situation of bankruptcy or insolvency.
Not to commit ethical breaches or offer products or services likely to undermine the integrity or call into question the probity of the Government of Quebec, even by association.
Not be in one of the following business areas:
the production or distribution of weapons;
exploration, extraction, drilling, production and refining related to fossil fuels such as oil and thermal coal, except for activities aimed at a transition to a low-carbon economy;
gambling, violent games, combat sports involving any living species, racing or other similar activities;
sexual exploitation, for example an erotic bar, an escort agency, an erotic massage parlor or a swingers club;
the production, sale and services related to the consumption of tobacco or drugs, with the exception of interventions relating to industrial cannabis and hemp presented in section 4.1.3 of the regulatory framework;
any activity whose main subject is protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (religion, politics, defense of rights, etc.).
