Description:

The Roulez vert financial assistance program is offered by the Gouvernement du Québec to encourage the acquisition of electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations. Companies can get a rebate of up to $7,000 on the purchase or lease of a new electric vehicle, depending on its type and condition.

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of rebates and the maximum amounts provided for new vehicles are:
– $7,000 on the purchase or lease of a new electric vehicle.
– $3,500 on the purchase of a used fully electric vehicle;
– $650 to purchase and install a home charging station if you own an electric vehicle;
– up to $5,000 per charging station or connector, for a multiple dwelling building charging station;
– up to $5,000 per connector or wireless charging station.

Deadline:

Temporary suspension of the program on February 1, 2025 The Roulez vert program will be temporarily suspended from February 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025.

Eligibility:

For electric vehicles
To be eligible for financial assistance, the vehicle must be registered while the program is in effect, i.e. before February 1, 2025, or after March 31, 2025.

Only the registration date is considered in determining the amount of financial assistance and program eligibility.
The date on which the vehicle was ordered or the date of the deposit cannot be considered.
Vehicles registered during the temporary suspension of the program will not be eligible for financial assistance.

For charging stations
To be eligible for financial assistance, the charging station must have been acquired and installed while the program is in effect, i.e. before February 1, 2025, or after March 31, 2025.

Expenses incurred during the temporary suspension of the program will not be eligible for financial assistance.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:
1. register for the program’s online services before acquiring their vehicle from a dealer;
2. create their user account and fill out their profile in the online services;
3. visit their car dealer and obtain the government rebate on the purchase or lease directly at the time of the transaction;

4. If applicants do not do businesses with a dealer in Québec, complete the application online.
5. Applicants can also use the online services to submit a reimbursement request for a charging station.
