Description:

Impulsion PME (the “Program”) aims to help young innovative companies with high growth potential to gain access to investment capital at the seed stage.

The Program relies on the commitment and collaboration of two types of recognized entities: the reference entities and the recognized investors .

Comments on Funding:

The Program invests in equity or quasi-equity (i.e. convertible debenture, Keep It Simple Security and Simple Agreement for Future Equity ), according to a formula of matching the sums coming from private investors and investing according to the same parameters as the latter.

The Program’s investment cannot exceed 50% of the total financial package.

Minimum amount: $250,000
Maximum amount for the biopharmaceutical sector 1 : $2,000,000
Maximum amount for all other sectors: $1,000,000 ($750,000 for businesses located in the Montreal census metropolitan area)

Eligibility:

Eligible companies are for-profit businesses from all economic sectors, whose head office, decision-making centre and the majority of permanent jobs are located in Quebec, excluding the following businesses * :

non-profit organizations and cooperatives;
for-profit businesses operating in the retail trade, accommodation and food services, personal and laundry services, and gaming and lottery industries, in the traditional sense of the term.
