Description:

Support the implementation of a marketing plan in order to develop or consolidate local marketing and agritourism initiatives.

Comments on Funding:

The maximum rate of financial assistance corresponds to 50 % of eligible expenses for Component 2.

A 15% increase in financial aid is possible for a project:

carried out in the Magdalen Islands agglomeration;
targeting exclusively products that are subject to pre-certification or organic certification;
concerning a business of agricultural succession.
The maximum amount of assistance per applicant for the duration of the initiative (including the bonus) is $ 50,000 .

Financial aid obtained under previous versions of the initiative is not taken into account.

Deadline:

The submission period ended on October 31, 2024. No new applications will be accepted.

Eligibility:

Eligible customers
Farms that meet one of the following criteria:
an annual turnover greater than $ 30,000 and less than $ 1,000,000 ;
an annual turnover of less than $ 30,000 , but be able to demonstrate that they expect to achieve, 36 months after filing their application, an annual turnover of at least $ 30,000 ;
Food processing companies that meet the following three criteria:
an annual turnover greater than $ 30,000 and less than $ 1,000,000 and which comes mainly from food processing activities; or a turnover less than $ 30,000 , but be able to demonstrate that they expect to achieve, 36 months after filing their application, an annual turnover of at least $30,000 coming mainly from food processing activities;

the primary use of raw materials of Quebec origin when these are available;
no food processing activity outsourced.
New businesses that are able to demonstrate that they expect to achieve, 36 months after filing their application, a turnover of at least $ 30,000 .
Eligible projects
Projects that meet the specific objective of Component 2 and satisfy the following criteria are eligible:

Respect the maximum duration established in the project submission period;
Present eligible expenses of a minimum amount of $5,000 when submitting the complete financial assistance application;
Are part of the implementation of a marketing plan;
Aim for relational or geographic proximity marketing and agritourism.
