Support for Businesses in the Arts and Crafts Industry

Description:

This program aims to develop the Quebec arts and crafts industry by financially supporting companies that assume financial risks to design products that stand out for their potential as a cultural product, namely their quality, originality and distinction. The program supports the production, distribution and digital discoverability of Quebec crafts, in all regions of Quebec.

Comments on Funding:

Assistance is granted in the form of a grant and can amount to a maximum of 50% of the eligible project expenses, not exceeding $35,000.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be individual Quebec-based businesses;
2. be legally constituted Quebec-based companies (corporations, non-profit organizations, cooperatives, partnerships);
3. be operating in the field of crafts or specializing in the marketing of Quebecois craft products.

Application Steps:

1. All requests must be sent through the secure electronic portal SOD@ccès.
2. By connecting to SOD@ccès, applicants must:
a) create their user profile if they are a new user or enter their access codes;
b) choose the program corresponding to their request, (see program numbers in the application presentation guide);
c) complete the application form and upload all required documents.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must prepare the documentation to transfer to SOD@ccès, including:
1. a declaration of the applicant company;
2. a description of activities and main achievements (Master file);
3. an information on shareholders and directors (Master file);
4. a financial forecast;
5. additional documents, as listed.

Other Things to Note:

Please ensure that you attach all required documents to SOD@ccès. Documents must be compliant, complete, in force, dated and signed by the persons with the required authority, when required. Only complete and compliant applications will be analyzed. Applications that are incomplete by their submission deadlines will be declared inadmissible and must be resubmitted. Read the Info-SODEC about the processing of incomplete applications.
