Support for the Development of Greenhouse Businesses

Description:

This program supports investments in greenhouse infrastructure and equipment, modernization and optimization of production systems, as well as research and development activities aimed at improving productivity, quality, and environmental performance.

Comments on Funding:

Financial assistance may reach a maximum of 50% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of $600,000 per applicant for the duration of the Program. The Program’s budget envelope has been exhausted. MAPAQ is therefore obliged to close the Program as of June 27, 2024. As such, no new applications will be accepted. Only requests to provide additional information relating to complete files submitted before noon on June 27 will be processed.

Eligibility:

The applicant must belong to one of the following categories:
1. have a farming operation with gross agricultural revenues exceeding $50,000 per year in the last two years;
2. have a farming operation with gross agricultural revenues of $50,000 or less in the last two years, whose project will generate revenues exceeding $50,000 in the first year of harvest;
3. have a new farming enterprise whose project will generate revenues exceeding $50,000 in the first year of harvest.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:
1.​ consult the Applicant Guide (PDF, 1 MB);
2. complete the Financial Assistance Application Form​ ( PDF, 1.3 MB);
3. submit a request accompanied by the required documents to their regional directorate of the Ministry.
