Description:

The Support Program dedicated to the scaling up of mineral processing or primary transformation processes for critical and strategic minerals (MCS) is aimed at companies in the mineral processing or primary transformation sector.

Comments on Funding:

The amount of financial assistance offered, established according to criteria defined in the regulatory framework according to the nature of the NMP:

For NMP 7: a maximum of 33% of the value of eligible expenses up to a maximum of $1M per project;
For NMP 8: a maximum of 33% of the value of eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10 million per project.
*In the case of existing and new demonstration plants, any direct income generated during the duration of the project reduces the amount of financial assistance granted on the same scale.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Program, applicants must be for-profit companies in the mining and industrial industry of Quebec registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec and having an establishment in Quebec.

A beneficiary may participate in the program more than once, provided that each application relates to a distinct project and/or a different NMP.
