Support program for the development of reserved designations and promotional terms Stream 3 – Support for certification

Description:

This component aims to increase the number of companies that obtain their certification with a reserved designation or a rewarding term.

Comments on Funding:

The maximum rate of financial aid varies depending on the year of certification:

75 % of eligible expenses for the first year;
60 % of eligible expenses for the second year;
40 % of eligible expenses for the third year.
The maximum amount of financial assistance awarded can reach $5,000 per applicant for the duration of the program.

Deadline:

Applications for financial assistance will be submitted continuously until March 1 , 2026, or until the funds are exhausted , whichever comes first

Eligibility:

Eligible customers
Sole proprietorship or a business operated by a legal entity legally constituted under the laws of the government of Quebec or Canada (corporation, NPO, cooperative, personified association), by a partnership (SENC, SEC, SEP) or by a non-personified association.

Eligible projects
The project must meet the following conditions:

Aim for a company to adhere to a reserved designation (other than “ organic ”) or a promotional term;
Consist of the certification of one of its products as being a reserved designation or a valorizing term, in accordance with the Law on reserved designations and valorizing terms.This hyperlink will open in a new window.
