Modernisation urbaine (crédit de taxes foncières) (Urban Modernization Tax Credit)

This program supports companies wishing to participate in the modernization and revitalization of the Center and East industrial parks (Saint-Vincent-de-Paul sector) as well as that of the Cité de la Biotech.

Comments on Funding:

A tax credit for a maximum period of 48 months, up to $1 million per year.
The credit is equivalent to an increase in the general property value, established after the completion of the eligible work.

Deadline: December 31, 2025

Applicants must:

  • be businesses in the City of Laval that appears in the selected areas for Urban Modernization;
  • demonstrate that their construction, demolition, reconstruction, renovation or expansion work will generate an increase of at least 30% in the property value of the building. The latter must be located within the three parks of the territory of application.

Applications are open until December 31, 2025.
No tax credit is granted if the work is undertaken or completed before receipt of a written notice of acceptance of the request.
