Description:

The Roulez vert financial assistance program is offered by the Gouvernement du Québec to encourage the acquisition of electric vehicles and the installation of charging stations.

The Program is open to individuals, companies, organizations and municipalities in Québec.

Comments on Funding:

The rebate amount is applied at the point of sale by participating dealerships or can be claimed later via an online application.
Incentives are stackable with federal programs such as the iZEV (Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles Program) from the Government of Canada.
Businesses that acquire multiple EVs for fleet purposes may be eligible for higher rebates per vehicle.

Deadline:

Program valid until January 31, 2025. Temporary suspension from February 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025. Vehicles must be registered before February 1, 2025, or after March 31, 2025, to be eligible.

Eligibility:

Applicants: Businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities, and individuals based in Quebec.
Vehicles: Only new eligible fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles qualify.
Registration: The vehicle must be registered in Quebec for at least three years.

Application Steps:

Check Eligibility: Verify that the vehicle qualifies under the program.
Purchase the Vehicle: Buy or lease a new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle from a participating dealership.
Rebate Application:
At point of sale: The rebate is applied directly by the dealership.
Post-purchase: If not applied at the dealership, submit a claim online with necessary documentation.
Await Processing: The government reviews and approves the rebate application.

Documentation Needed:

Proof of vehicle purchase or lease agreement.
Proof of registration in Quebec.
Copy of driver’s license or business registration (for companies).
Banking details for rebate deposit (if applicable).

Other Things to Note:

Businesses can apply for multiple vehicles for commercial fleet electrification.
Leased vehicles must have a term of at least 36 months to be eligible for the full rebate.
Vehicles purchased outside Quebec are not eligible unless registered in Quebec.
