Description:

The general objective of the program is to support the development and consolidation of an innovative, scalable and sustainable tourism offering to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of the Quebec tourism industry.

Comments on Funding:

Calls for projects are held depending on financial availability. Each of them specifies the envelope available for financial assistance:

the maximum financial assistance rate: 50% of eligible costs;
the maximum subsidy: $5 million or $2 million for new tourist accommodation including the increase for the eco-responsibility component;
the possibility of obtaining an increase in the financial aid rate of around 5% to 10% for projects meeting eco-responsibility criteria.

March 31, 2025

Eligibility:

The following organizations are eligible for the program:

legally constituted for-profit organizations (NPOs);
legally constituted non-profit organizations (NPOs);
legally constituted cooperatives;
municipal entities;
indigenous communities or nations recognized by the National Assembly;
any grouping of the above-mentioned customers.
For the purposes of the rules on the accumulation of financial assistance, the term “municipal entities” includes municipal bodies within the meaning of section 5 of the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (RLRQ, c. In all cases, the organization must be legally incorporated under the laws of the governments of Quebec or Canada and do business in Quebec.

The organization requesting financial assistance must be the one that will incur the expenses and carry out the project.

Organizations operating tourist accommodation must comply with applicable laws and regulations and hold a registration number.

Outfitters must have a valid permit and have fulfilled all obligations provided for by the Act respecting the conservation and development of wildlife .This hyperlink will open in a new window.and its regulations.

Apply for financial assistance
In order for its request for financial assistance to be studied, the organization must submit a complete file during the call for projects.

Before submitting an application, she must:

check whether it is among the eligible customers ;
learn about the types of eligible projects ;
learn about the assessment and prioritization criteria ;
learn about the bonus linked to eco-responsibility and determine whether you wish to include your project in it;
collect the required documents ;
submit an application on the Ministry’s Financial Assistance portal.
We invite organizations to contact the tourism development advisor in their region before submitting an application for financial assistance. This person will be able to support them in their process.
