Description:

Businesses can receive a rebate of up to $250 for every LED pole light installed.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is rebate of up to:
– $100 when replacing a 400 watt fixture;
– $250 when replacing a 1000 watt fixture.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be businesses that have an active electricity account. This applies to retrofits only.

Product Eligibility:
1. The LED Pole Light fixture must be replacing a 400 watt or 1000 watt high intensity discharge (HID) fixture and be listed on The Design Lights Consortium (DLC) qualified product list.
2. For replacing a 1000W lamp, the LED fixture must be 360W or less. For replacing a 400W lamp, the LED fixture must be 200W or less.
3. The LED fixtures must be controlled by a photocell or timer, and are intended to be on overnight.
4. Fixtures must be purchased on or after August 1, 2020 and used at a commercial property.

Application Steps:

Applicants must apply online or mail their completed application.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit a copy of their purchase receipt and product specification sheets with their application.

Other Things to Note:

Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro may visit applicant’s facility and inspect the fixture installation at any time within 15 months from when the rebate was processed.
