Description:

This program aims to support young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 39, by offering them personalized start-up support, online resources, financing and business mentoring.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is a loan of up to $20,000:
– additional financing $65,000 is also possible from BDC and the Youth Strategy Program.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be between 18 and 39 years old;
2. be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
3. not be studying full time;
4. have produced, at the end of the application process, a complete and viable business plan;
5. start a new business, take over an existing business OR operate a fully operational business for less than 12 months;
6. have training/experience related to the business idea;
commit to working with a qualified business mentor for two years;
7. create (thanks to the company) a sustainable full-time job for the candidate;
8. hold at least 51% of the voting shares of the company (in the case of a partnership);
9. not use the loan to refinance an existing debt.

10. Non-profit organizations or existing NPOs launching a social enterprise are also eligible (new).
