Description:
The Animal Health and Biosecurity Program is designed to provide support to producers in the apiculture, beef cattle, bison, cervids, small ruminants (sheep/goats), dairy, poultry and swine sectors. The purpose of the program is to increase participation in biosecurity and animal welfare initiatives. This includes:
• Meeting industry standards and seeking certification;
• Improving producers’ understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare needs; and
• Adopting improved practices through education and awareness, veterinarian or technical expert assessments, audits and equipment funding.
Comments on Funding:
Funding amount varies according to production category.
1. Program payments are subject to a minimum rebate of $250.
2. The minimum claim amount is $500.
3. The highest funding cap is $50,000.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be producers (individual, partnership, co-operative or corporation) in the apiculture, beef cattle, bison, cervids, small ruminants (sheep/goats), dairy, poultry and swine sectors in Saskatchewan;
2. Specific eligibility criteria per eligible production category.
Application Steps:
Applicants are:
1.Encouraged to submit rebate claims as soon as the equipment is fully installed and operational. All invoices must be paid in full before applying for the rebate.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must provide the claim form along with all invoices and proof of payment to the program.
