Description:
The Business Recognition program rewards businesses that have good claims history with up to 15% discounts on their basic vehicle insurance.
Comments on Funding:
Based on your business’s claims history, you’ll either:
• receive a discount on your basic vehicle insurance
• receive a surcharge on your basic vehicle insurance, or
• be responsible to pay the base insurance premium without a discount or surcharge
Depending on your position on the Business Recognition scale, if your business was responsible for claims in the past, you either:
• get less of a discount, or
• pay an extra charge on your basic vehicle insurance.
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants vehicles are eligible to participate in the Business Recognition program if they’re:
• in commercial Classes A, C and D
• International Registration Plan (IRP) vehicles
• heavy vehicles in farm Class F
• in dealer plate Class L
• in bus Classes PB, PC and PS
• in taxi Class PT
• police, rental vehicles, ambulances, hearses and restricted buses
• registered to a limited or incorporated company
• vehicles in Class LV that are affiliated with a Transportation Network Company (TNC) and have a TNC (Rideshare) indicator (See Transportation Network Company section below)
