Description:

The Digital Game Development Grant supports eligible Saskatchewan applicants in the production of innovative and original digital games and eLearning properties.

Comments on Funding:

1. Funding takes the form of grants of maximum $100,000 or 50% of the total cash budget, whichever is the lesser, for one application or the entire life of the project.
2. Applicants may only receive funding one time for each stage of development for the same project.
3. No more than 10% of the total project budget can be used for marketing expenses.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

1. be Saskatchewan corporations;
2. be Saskatchewan individuals or residents;
3. be active practitioners in one of the creative industries identified under The Creative Saskatchewan Act (2013) (see general guidelines);
4. demonstrate their intention to earn their living within their chosen creative industry, as well as their ambition to grow their business beyond their current status;
5. be in good standing (defined in the Glossary) with Creative Saskatchewan in all respects;
6. be the owners or co-owners of the project, control copyright, and receive a share of revenue from sales of the project;
7. be seeking financing for the production of innovative and original digital games and eLearning properties;
8. Applications must demonstrate a minimum 51% Saskatchewan ownership.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:

1. Review and complete the Phase One: Application Completeness and Phase Two: Application Material Assessment criteria on the program website.
These criteria are assessed internally by Creative Saskatchewan staff.
2. complete an application through the Online Grant Management System (GMS)
