Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund (SAIF)

The Saskatchewan Advantage Innovation Fund (SAIF) is a research and development funding program designed to accelerate the commercialization of game-changing technologies in the province’s core sectors (mining, energy, manufacturing and processing and healthcare).

Comments on Funding:

1. Funding takes the form of non-repayable grants to projects that address a specific industry challenge. Lead proponents can receive a maximum of $450,000 in SAIF grants to support the commercialization of their innovation or technology
2. IS will provide up to 30% of a project’s budget, while 50% or more must be provided by industry partners.

Deadline: April 30 (annually) September 30 (annually)

Projects must be driven by a group of private sector partners who represent the project’s value chain (researchers, production and supply, customers and end users).
