The Self-Employment Program provides supports to assist eligible individuals to develop, implement and operate viable businesses. The program helps individuals obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to operate their own businesses.

Applicants must:

  • be individuals seeking to develop, implement and operate viable businesses;
  • be residents of Saskatchewan;
  • be able to attend and participate full-time towards the development and implementation of the business;
  • have potentially viable and self-sustaining business ideas that meet the criteria for eligible businesses;
  • be currently unemployed or underemployed (Underemployed meaning current job is casual or part-time, working less than 20 hours per week, and unable to find full-time work that makes use of education or work experience).
