Description:

Saskatchewan Trade & Export Partnership’s Sustainability Promotion Program (SPP) is a temporary program designed to promote the innovative products, technologies and services of Saskatchewan exporters in domestic and international markets. SPP funding will provide travel assistance to lower the costs and risks of attendance and promotion at sustainability-focused trade shows. Activities or events must have a clearly stated focus or requirement for sustainability as part of the program and a commercial program.

Comments on Funding:

1. One approved application per fiscal year (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025)
2. The non-repayable contribution from Sustainability funding will not exceed 50% for the approved activity of 30% for participating but not exhibiting in a STEP led mission with a trade show component; of approved eligible costs
3. The maximum contribution to any applicant in each fiscal year is $6000 CAD
a) Any funding applications must have an overall minimum cost of $1000 CAD

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

1. Be currently an incorporated business, partnership or proprietorship based in Saskatchewan and must be a registered company (federally or provincially) for a minimum of two years.
2. Be a Saskatchewan exporter that produces an exportable product or service to markets outside of Saskatchewan, with at lease 50% Saskatchewan content and a sustainability strategy
3. Be in full compliance with all government laws and regulations
4. Be able to potentially provide a written trade strategy or export marketing plan for their company
5. Be exhibiting in a trade show, or trade event outside of Saskatchewan and/or; participating and/or exhibiting in a STEP led trade activity to a sustainability focused trade show or event.
6. Activities or events must have a clearly stated focus or requirement for sustainability as part of the program and a commercial program.
