Description:
The Support Program for the Positioning of Quebec Alcohols: Support for Increasing the Sales and Supply of Quebec Alcohols in the Société des alcools du Québec Network (PAPAQ, Component 1) aims to help producers of alcoholic beverages to increase their sales.
Comments on Funding:
1. The financial assistance is calculated based on net sales after customer discounts within the SAQ establishment network. An eligible company can receive a financial contribution in the form of a maximum grant of $450,000 per SAQ financial year.
2. A company can receive up to a total of $1.95 million for the duration of the program, which can amount to a maximum of $650,000 per year.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be companies legally constituted under the laws of the government of Quebec or Canada and having an operational establishment in Quebec;
2. be collective enterprises (cooperatives and non-profit organizations) as defined by the Act respecting social economy;
3. be companies that:
a) hold either a permit for artisanal production (for the specific category of product types for which financial assistance is requested), or a distiller’s permit issued by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (RACJ) when the recorded worldwide sales volume was equal to or less than 6,000 hl in the previous year;
b) have made sales in the distribution network of the SAQ during the financial year of that organization ending on the last Saturday of the month of March.
4. meet the following conditions:
a) not be or use services of subcontractors registered in the Register of Companies Ineligible for Public Contracts (RENA);
b) have fulfilled all obligations related to previous financial assistance from the Government of Quebec or Investissement Québec for at least two years;
c) not be a government-owned corporation or a corporation controlled directly or indirectly by a government (municipal, provincial, or federal), a municipal entity, or a company that is mostly owned by a government-owned corporation;
d) not commit ethical violations or offer products or services that could compromise the integrity or impugn the probity of the Quebec government, even through association.
