Description:

The Summer Career Placement Program provides employers a wage subsidy to hire students or youth focusing on career-related work experience and developmental learning.

Comments on Funding:

The amount of the subsidy is $8.25 per hour to a maximum of 600 hours between May 1 and September 1.

Eligibility:

The applicant must
1. be a private business
2. be a municipality
3. be a first nation
4. be a non-profit organization
5. have operated at least 1 year in yukon before applying to the program.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:
1. complete the summer career placement form;
2. submit their application:
In person: 1000 Lewes Boulevard in Whitehorse, Yukon. Our hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
