Description:

The Support Program for Organizations provides funding to support collaborative research between public research centers and private companies. Eligible applicants are research centers or academic groups that are associated with an industrial partner, with applied projects in information and communication technologies (ICT).

Comments on Funding:

1. Maximum financial aid is $500,000 per year, per project; 2. Maximum financial aid may represent up to 40% of the total project valuation; 3. Total government financial aid from various sources can sum up to 80% of the total project valuation; 4. Private contributions must represent a minimum of 20% of the total project valuation;
5. Maximum project duration is 3 years.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, public research centres (academic partners) must:
1. be associated with a large company or an SME;
2. be established in Quebec;
3. be attached to either a university, an affiliated research centre, a CEGEP or a College Centre for Technology Transfer (CCTT). Check the complete list of eligible public research centres.
To be eligible, your business partner (SME or large business) must: 1. be legally incorporated under federal or Quebec laws in force and be registered with the Quebec enterprise register;
2. have its head office in Quebec and its employees or subcontractors must work mainly from Quebec;
3. not be owned 50% or more by other existing businesses or organizations.
To be eligible, PSO projects must meet the following conditions:
1. Bring together two players: an academic research partner and an industrial partner;
2. Be conducted entirely in Quebec at an eligible Quebec research centre;
3. The funding application must be submitted by an academic researcher;
4. Have a technology readiness level between 1 and 6.
