Description:

The Sustainable New Agri-Food Products & Productivity (SNAPP) Program provides up to $10,000 at 50% cost-share designed to support Northern Ontario agriculture and food producers, businesses, collaborations, and communities to create new products, enhance productivity, and adopt clean technologies. There are three project streams, as follows:
1. New Products;
2. Productivity Enhancement; and
3. Clean Growth in Agri-Food.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to $10,000 at 50% cost-share. Collaborations (of 3 or more) are eligible for up to $25,000 at 50% cost-share.

January 12, 2024

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be agriculture and food producers;
2. be businesses, collaborations, and communities;
3. create new products, enhance productivity, and adopt clean technologies;
4. be located in Northern Ontario.

Applications for Intake 2 will be accepted from November 6, 2023 to January 12, 2024. With funding through FedNor, the Sustainable New Agri-Food Products and Productivity (SNAPP) Program is an initiative of the Rural Agri-Innovation Network (RAIN), a division of the Sault Ste Marie Innovation Centre in partnership with the Northern Ontario Farm Innovation Alliance and the Northwestern Ontario Innovation Centre.
