Description:

The Targeted Labour Market Program provides funding of up to one year in duration to eligible employers, institutions or training providers to enable Nunavut-based education and/or training for occupations or skills that either are or will be in demand in the near future.

Eligibility:

Eligibility criteria:
1. Training providers, including non-profit organizations and institutions, municipal corporations, Inuit organizations and Nunavut based business, may apply for funding to deliver programs. 2. Priority will be given to the following types of programs:
a) Training and employment programs for persons living with a disability;
b) Training and employment programs for out-of-school youth aged 15-30;
c) Trades and Mining sector training;
d) Employment readiness;
e) Programs that propose to deliver training in smaller communities outside of regional hubs; and
f) Programming proposed to be offered in Inuktut.

Application Steps:

Applicant organizations must fill out a TLMP application and submit to the Director of Career Development at Career Development Headquarters.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must provide:
1. a completed TLM Application;
2. a completed Contribution Agreement, detailing the terms and conditions of the Agreement, signed by both parties.

Other Things to Note:

The deadline for 2023-2024 has passed, next intake deadline to be determined.
