Description:

UCeed Energy Fund is focused on advancing energy innovation across a wide spectrum of fields, including areas like energy efficiency solutions, carbon capture, utilization and storage, and renewables. Through great investments, UCeed Energy aims to help address major energy system challenges and strengthen the energy landscape, for a cleaner, more efficient future.

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of investment ranging from $50,000 to $300,000 (CAD).

Eligibility:

Applicant must:
1. have an established relationship with a leading Canadian research university or have licensed or assigned intellectual property developed from one;
2. be a for-profit enterprise;
3. have a product in Technology Readiness Level (TRL): Stage 1-9;
4. be incorporated prior to receipt of funds;
5. have minimum one (1) full-time employee within six (6) months of UCeed investment.
