Description:

This program is intended to assist Saskatchewan Métis Women with the desire to become entrepreneurs, overcome barriers and access financing, build their credit, and leverage other financing and support services provided by CCDF for Métis women or from other financial institutions.

Comments on Funding:

Funding takes the form of equity assistance, in a combined loan and grant, of up to 95% of capital project costs related to the establishment and ongoing operations of the business.
Maximum loan funding under this program is $20,000 excluding pre-operating and goodwill as identified in the program costs and total project costs cannot exceed $40,000. The grant funding is based on need.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. be businesses at least 51% owned by a Saskatchewan Métis Woman (husband and wife partnerships are not eligible);
2. not be eligible for the Métis Entrepreneurship Equity program (MEEP);
3. be for-profit and demonstrate viability through a sound business plan;
4. contribute a minimum of 5% equity to the project.
