Description:
The Yukon Apprentice Rebate program is designed for businesses that hire registered Yukon apprentices. The rebate is equal to 15% of the gross wages paid to an apprentice.

Funding takes the form of rebates equal to 15% of the gross wages and benefits paid to the youth.
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must be :
1. A Yukon business working on a Government of Yukon contract of any value.
2. A business employing a registered apprentice.
3. Apprentices must be registered with the Government of Yukon Advanced Education Apprenticeship Program before they start the job.
If an apprentice is between 16 and 24 years of age, you can only apply for the apprentice rebate. In addition to the apprentice rebate, your business may also qualify for a Yukon Labour Rebate.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. Have the apprentice complete and sign an Employee Information and Release Form.
2. Contact the Business Incentive Program for a copy of the Employment Report worksheet.
3. Fill out the Employment Report worksheet, identifying the apprentice (for example, as an apprentice carpenter) and all on-site hours for the apprentice.
4. Sign a Statutory Declaration and have it notarized. This declaration must be completed before a rebate can be paid out.
5. Submit the application and documents.
