Description:

The Culture Quest supports performing, visual and literary artists from the Yukon to a maximum of $10,000 per applicant per fiscal year (April 1 through March 31).

The fund supports:

• First Nations, Métis and Inuit expression of art in relation to cultural practices;
• continued growth and development of creation, performance or presenting capacity in the cultural sector;
• opportunities for artists to create projects that explore and develop ties between contemporary art and their cultural heritage or history; and
• artists from the Yukon to prepare their work for the national or international stage.

Comments on Funding:

1. 90% of the approved funding will be advanced to the applicant after the project funding agreement is
signed with the Yukon government.
2. The remaining 10% of the funding will be held back until the final
project report has been submitted

January 15 April 15 September 15 Annually

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

1. Yukon-based:
2. groups;
3. organizations;
4. businesses; and
5. residents (a person who has lived in the Yukon for a minimum of 1 year).

Applicants must:

1. Download the application form and guidelines. Make sure that your project and you or your group are eligible.
2. We recommend you contact an arts advisor to discuss your project. Email artsfund@yukon.ca.
3. Complete the application form and prepare any supporting materials.
4. Submit your completed application.

3. Consent from the Indigenous creator(s), collaborator(s) or community member(s), if the activity uses or
presents Indigenous cultural material, traditional knowledge or stories
