Description:
You can apply for enhancement funding for support for your:
a) child care centre; or
b) family day home.
You cannot apply for this funding if you’ve received start-up funding during the same fiscal year.
Enhancement Funding program provides funding to Child Care Operators for their child care centres or family day homes. Funding can be used for regulatory requirements related to health and safety, and playground development and maintenance.
Comments on Funding:
1. Funding takes the form of grants of up to $5,000 for licensed child care centres and;
2. up to $500 for family day homes.
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1. be licensed child care centres; or
2. be family day homes;
3. be established in Yukon.
Application Steps:
Applicants must:
1. download the application form;
2. talk to the Early Learning and Child Care Unit about their application. Call Early Learning and Child Care Unit at 867-667-3492 or toll free 1-800-661-0408, extension 3492. They can also talk to their child care inspector;
3. send the completed application to:

Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. a completed application form;
2. 1 written quote for each item or project in your application; and
3. 2 written quotes for any items over $1,000.
4. all the required documents, as requested.
Other Things to Note:
Each licensed child care program can only apply for funding from the Enhancement Fund once every fiscal year.
Our fiscal year is from April 1 to March 31.
